Grand Avenue Corridor Plan

The Grand Avenue Corridor Plan is a transformational long-term public project that aims to improve mobility across Town, establish a strong sense of place and identity and create interconnectivity between the major destinations within walking distance of the downtown commercial core.

Tell Us Your Thoughts on Draft Corridor Concept

The draft Grand Avenue Corridor Concept was developed based on:

  • Input from a range of community stakeholders (see more below and on the Learn More page)
  • Project Guiding Principles and Town identified goals
  • Project Team's technical expertise consistent with evidence-based state and national best practices guides in multi-modal corridor design

Please take a few minutes to review the map, add comments, and take a survey.

Why Are We

Doing This?

Project Update!

Grand Avenue (Highway 6) is a key to Eagle's mobility.

Grand Avenue is the primary means of access through the Town of Eagle for residents and visitors, connecting people to downtown, residential neighborhoods, the river, and airport.  Today, it primarily serves people in vehicles with over 12,000 vehicle trips per day. It lacks continuous and connected sidewalks and bike paths. The Town recently received control of Grand Avenue (from Eby Creek Roundabout to the Western Limits of Town) from the Colorado Department of Transportation and is now responsible for infrastructure and maintenance costs. This presents an opportunity to provide a street design that enables safe, convenient, and comfortable transportation choices, such as walking and bicycling, for people of all ages and abilities.

A more sustainable transportation system helps to foster economic growth that honors Eagle's unique identity. From previous planning efforts, the Town recognizes and encourages commercial development and redevelopment opportunities for land adjacent to Grand Avenue.
